Annual Symposium: Creativity in Education NOW

The Creative Schools and Creative Colleges Annual Symposium

that took place on Monday 16 November 2020 9.15am – 5pm

A highly interactive virtual conference exploring how to bring creativity into learning and effectively address current and future challenges.

Creative Schools & Creative Colleges has been addressing real-world problems and championing creativity within east London schools for four years. In this extraordinary year, the Symposium invited participation from schools, colleges and cultural organisations nationally for a day of online discussion, debate and discovery.

Hosted within an innovative virtual conference hall and free to attend, the event includes keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions and networking for education professionals and those working in the creative, cultural and arts sectors.

Keynote from Professor Bill Lucas, Professor of Learning and Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning

Followed by a panel discussion with a range of colleagues including Stuart Worden, Principal of The BRIT school, Vicky Featherstone,  Artistic  Director at the Royal Court Theatre,  Jennifer Gibbs, Ofsted.

Other panel discussions involved sector experts exploring creativity in the context of learning under the themes of identity, inclusion, wellbeing and future work.

The symposium included networking opportunities, short film screenings and a virtual exhibition to help arts and education professionals share insights and explore how the two sectors can cultivate high quality learning experiences and engagement in this time.

Our next Symposium event will take place in NOVEMBER 2021.
